Living among the business and technology
Basically, this article attempts to approach the need by organizations which understand how to use the technology to generate business results. This title invites reflection on the profound and complex that are now entrepreneurs, managers, technologists, consultants, etc..

Business VS Technology
The usual situation in organizations is that there are departments (systems / software / …) to talk about technology: what database to use, if you use Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, … and if you develop a language or on a particular platform while other departments talk about business: what is the ROI, what business results are poop, how many new customers will be achieved or will impact business processes.
As is clear, both languages are not directly compatible and turn this situation into a very complex situation.
Therefore, if there is a project leader with the vision of both areas, ended up being led by a man who has a tendency to solve problems or technological or business but without an overall view of the situation.
Thus, the solution is that profiles have to understand both languages, with an overview of the situation and able to lead such projects, sharing the concerns of both areas and reaching the best solutions. But it is good to ask: Why does this happen? Why is it difficult to find profiles “hybrid”?
As almost always, is due to several factors but we understand this is due to the different training and experience of each of the two profiles. The business people have had extensive training and experience in managing people, finances, processes, etc.. while people in technology have had extensive training and experience in languages, hardware, operating systems, algorithms, etc.. As seen with the naked eye, are not very compatible both education and experience.
It should be borne in mind that intensive use of technology to improve business results is relatively “modern” so: 1. Have not been sufficiently remodeled training plans in these areas to adapt to the new reality. 2. In organizations there is little experience in this area because of its novelty. 3. Persons or self-paced training in the area of e-business or similar are young and have not yet been incorporated into management positions.
However, the profile of people is absolutely essential because in organizations, technology is a key tool for achieving competitive advantages. And at the same time without knowledge of technology is impossible to achieve such results.
In conclusion, in the coming years will see significant growth of applications for companies of this profile and will have supplies or external consultants or people with enough knowledge and experience in this area.
